Who would have guessed when we started blogging about the Do It Again Garage, that we would end up reporting on so many stories of minor garage-related injuries? We really think it’s time for our boys to be a little more careful. Regular readers of the DIA Garage Blog know it’s been one “accident” after another here at the Garage. This past week, it was Matt who suffered another assault to his…er…finger. Thankfully, it wasn’t serious. Nothing some anti-bacterial ointment and a bandage couldn’t fix, at least. We couldn’t miss an opportunity to share the renovation-related carnage with you, of course…

Typically it’s the blunders, bamboozles and boondoggles that make for the most entertaining blog posts. There’s no question, we’ve certainly seen our share of hilarious and sometimes even slightly dangerous road blocks as we’ve been covering Matt and Bill’s antics at the Do It Again Garage so far this year. Every once in a while, we are going to have a weekend that goes as smooth and sweet as Matt’s favorite flavor of ice cream (in case you’re wondering, it’s chocolate chip!) Not that we are complaining, but…

Good news to report since our last blog post. Bill’s finger is healing up nicely and his bruised ego is feeling better, too.

Bringing back fond memories of that iconic Saturday morning cartoon, Scooby Doo, Where Are You? Matt and Bill are proud to announce their next auto restoration project. They’ll be renovating Bill’s 1962 Ford Econoline van, otherwise known as The Mystery Machine. Our two mechanics pulled the van onto the lift a week ago up at Bill’s home garage, since the Firebird is still taking up space at the Do It Again Garage. Once the Firebird is sold, the Mystery Machine will take its rightful place closer to home.
